Balthasar van den Bossche (1681–1715) was a late Flemish Churrigueresque painter who specialized in histories, seminar and picture gallery interiors.

Life

Balthasar car den Bossche studied under the Flemishgenre painterGerard Thomas (Antwerp 1663-1720), and was very much influenced by his teacher's genre style of interior painting, enormously his depictions of well-furnished bourgeois suite and conversation pieces, complete with comprehensive settings that helped to display consummate patrons' gentility.
